  32.   this program may not work properly in certain configurations.

  52. 4. RELEASE NOTES
  53. -------------------------
  54.   1. Supports Universal codeplug structures 11.00 - 16.00.
  55.   2. Supports all i1000 codeplug structures up to 04.00. 
  56.   3. Supports plus phone codeplug structures up to 04.00 - 0C.06. 
  57.   4. Supports i85s based codeplug structure 10.00 - 1A.0A
  58.   5. CompanionPro checks for phone software and phone codeplug 
  59.      compatibility before writing codeplug to a phone. If phone
  60.      software and phone codeplug are incompatible, CompanionPro undoes some
  61.      codeplug changes and changes codeplug version to the one that is 
  62.      compatible with the current phone software. A message in this 
  63.      regards is also shown if incompatibility is detected. E.g.For
  64.      i1000 phone software version R18.02.00 or greater needs codeplug
  65.      version 03.07 or greater. While writing codeplug to i1000 if 
  66.      CompanionPro detects that the phone software is lower than R18.02.00 then
  67.      it undoes the 03.07 changes and sets the codeplug version to 
  68.      03.06.
  69.   6. A backup codeplug file is created called "<serial>.dbf" in the 
  70.      CompanionPro directory during the write cp function and the update 
  71.      function.  If the write codeplug function is interrupted and the radio 
  72.      does not operate correctly the backup file can be loaded into 
  73.      CompanionPro and written to the phone to fix the phone.
  74.   7. There is a feature added called "Recover Phone". A toolbar
  75.      button and a menu item in the "Tools" menu called "Recover wizard" 
  76.      have been added. With this new feature, every codeplug is saved 
  77.      before writing it to a phone in a backup directory. If "Write
  78.      Phone" or "Write phone partial" functions fail and cause 
  79.      "SELF CHECK FAIL 0800" or "SELF CHECK FAIL F4000" error then 
  80.      this new function can be used to fix the phone codeplug using the
  81.      codeplug backed up by CompanionPro in the backup directory.

  84. 5. KNOWN ISSUES
  85. -------------------------
  86.  - Hebrew user interface issues
  87.  - In Hebrew version when reading a phone the private id will display backwards
  88.    until it is clicked
  89.  - In Hebrew version a '+' character in the beginning of a phone number is displayed 
  90.    reverse until it is clicked
  91.  - In Hebrew version the GSM phone book in SIM transfer displays gibberish names
  92.  - On Windows 2000 with "Service Pack 1, RC 1.1" USB will not work
  93.    properly due to USB incompatibility. Please update Windows 2000
  94.    to "Sevice Pack 2" for proper operation of USB.
  95.  - If using Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 you may encounter USB 
  96.    communications problems.If problem occurs, go to www.microsoft.com and search for Knowledge base article 
  97.    "Q318107" to download a hotfix.
  98.  - If using Windows XP, you may encouter USB communications problems. 
  99.    If problem occurs, go to www.microsoft.com and search for Knowledge base article
